My story
For most of my adult life, I looked like I had everything together. I built a 20-year career in marketing leadership, had a full social life, spent nearly a decade living and working in Asia, and had a life that looked pretty good on paper. From the outside, there wasn’t a reason not to be happy.
But underneath that, I wasn’t satisfied. I was always looking for the next thing - the next job, the next location, the next change. A lot of how I felt about myself also depended on how I thought other people saw me. I looked to partners, bosses, friends and family for reassurance that I was worthy, important and loved. And that meant I spent a lot of time trying to live up to what I thought other people expected of me - being successful enough, doing the right thing, being liked - because their approval affected how I felt about myself.
It wasn’t until after my divorce that I started to see some of this more clearly. I started to realise that keeping my attention on the next thing meant that I hadn't stopped to find out why I felt the way I did in the first place, or what was actually behind some of my choices.
Around the same time, I began studying for a psychology degree. It gave me a completely different way of looking at my own experience and helped me understand how much of what we think, feel, and act can be influenced by things we’ve learned over time, often without questioning them. And this includes what we believe we need to be or receive from other people in order to feel good about ourselves.
That was the turning point.
I started doing my own inner work, through hypnosis, meditation, workshops, and various other approaches. This didnt just help me understand myself, but I started to feel different. I felt more in contorl, more self-assured, and more content in life. At the same time, I noticed something else: many of the women around me were also feeling stuck in their own way, often without the awareness or tools to shift it.
What I found through that process wasn’t just understanding, it was a real sense of calm, clarity, and satisfaction that I hadn’t felt before. Not because everything in life became perfect, but because I changed how I experienced it. That’s what led me here.
I now want to share my learnings and experience with women who feel stuck in how they think, feel, or respond even if life looks fine on the outside. I hope that this will help you understand and shift the patterns that are keeping you where you are, so you can move forward in a way that actually feels right for you.
