You know something needs to change. You might even know what's actually driving it. But the important question is what will help you change it?

Maybe you’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, or even tried therapy. You understand the issue logically, but it’s still showing up in your thoughts, feelings or choices.

Or maybe you know you overthink, doubt yourself or keep ending up in the same unwanted situations, but you don’t really understand why it keeps happening.

Here, I explore what could be going on underneath and what you might be able to do about it.

What are you trying to understand?

Overthinking and anxiety

Why can your mind keep searching for answers when thinking about something more isn’t helping? Why can uncertainty and things outside of our control make us worry so much?

Confidence and self-worth

Why can you be capable and confident in one area of your life, but completely doubt yourself in another? And why can someone else’s behaviour have such an impact on how you see yourself?

Rejection and relationships

Why can rejection affect us so deeply? Why can we struggle to let go of someone we know isn’t right for us, or find ourselves back in the same kind of relationships we know are not good for us?

Feeling stuck or unfulfilled

Why can life can look good from the outside, but something still feels missing, flat or no longer right? What is it that's holding us back from living our best lives?

How can I get over this?

Our thoughts, feelings and behaviour are influenced by more than just logic and understanding. Previous experiences, core beliefs and automatice responses can unconsciously shape how we see ourselves and how we react. So while it’s useful for us to learn what might be causing our behaviour, we usually need to delve deeper to see the changes we’re trying to make.

My background is in psychology, clinical hypnotherapy and a range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR Plus, EFT, solution-focused work, NLP techniques, positive psychology and parts therapy. I use these different approaches to explore why an issue is still affecting you, even when you understand it rationally, and what may help shift the response underneath it.
